Description
Soya chunks are a high-protein, plant-based food product also known as soy meat or textured vegetable protein (TVP). Made from defatted soy flour, they are extruded into chunks, dried, and then dehydrated to create a shelf-stable ingredient that rehydrates to a meat-like texture. Soya chunks are used as a vegetarian and vegan meat substitute in dishes like curries, stews, and stir-fries, offering a chewy texture and absorbing the flavors of the ingredients they are cooked with.
